Bilingual Primary School Curriculum

ACADEMIC SUCCESS

The Odyssey network is part of a development process. La Petite Ecole has chosen to extend its program up to the final year of primary school – Cycle 3 (CM2) in order to keep our pupils in the same, small-scale school for a longer duration, as requested by their parents, and to continue pursuing the educational approach for which La Petite Ecole is renowned for. Our objective is to create the basics for knowledge, research, and academic achievement in our students by providing the same consistent education over the three cycles of preschool and primary school curriculum while adjusting to the academic pace and needs of each child.

We aim to provide pupils with a solid foundation of academic skills, such as reading, writing, counting/calculating, etc., through the following subjects: French, English, Vietnamese, Art, Music, Physical Education, Moral and Civic Education, History, Geography, Science, Technology and Maths. Children learn to live in a community, accept their differences, and to respect themselves and others.

By the end of primary school, pupils will have acquired knowledge in several areas. The main areas of learning are:

01

Language, to think and communicate

02

Educating the person and the citizen

03

Learning methods and tools

04

Portraying the world and human activity
